Aquaculture Conference 2010

Each year the Faroe Fish Farming Association organizes the Aquaculture Conference.  This is an opportunity for everyone who works in the industry to network, attend expert presentations, and go through the previous year’s biological and market results.  The day ends with a healthy dose of competition as the companies with the best biological results get announced.
 
The Aquaculture Conference 2010 was held on the 26th of February.  Presentations were held by both foreign and domestic exports in aquaculture, and the conference was marked by the continuation of the impressive results from recent years.  This year's winners for best biological results were the following:

 
Results for best Efficiency Index:

1.	Luna (Miðvágur)	117.3
2.	Marine Harvest (Haldórsvík)	115.4
3.	Bakkafrost (Hvannasund suður)	111.4

 

Winner for Smolt & Health:

Luna (Fútaklettur) - 0.66% Mortality Rate
